IABC Chicago

This is a postcard for the International Association of Business Communicators of Chicago. This piece of direct mail is intended to raise awareness of the upcoming Spectra awards and to produce nominees. A database of names was used for printing the recipients name upon the award.

Grand Event Rentals

Grand Event Rentals needed to freshen up their site which hadn’t been updated in years. White on black was used for unique pages and black on white was used for product pages for better legibility. Site was built with clean, semantic xhtml and css for search engine optimization.

Man with One Eye

Sometimes I receive strange requests. My uncle owns a non-profit marketing firm in Chicago and was designing a brochure for a private school where this man was a teacher. Because this teacher has only one eye and normally wears and eye-patch, my uncle requested that I replicate an eye for him. The teacher liked it so much that he wanted prints.

Habitat for Humanity Brochure

This is a brochure created for Habitat for Humanity in Chicago through Image-Communications. Thousands of copies were distributed throughout Chicago and the surrounding areas. The back and fourth panel was printed on perforated paper allowing respondents a way to easily request more information about future Habitat activities.

Student Government Association Logo

The Pepperdine Student Government Association changed their identity every year with the election of a new Executive Board which necessitated a new logo. However, when I was the Graphic Art Director with SGA, we decided to stop the madness and standardize the logo for future years.

I went with a seal-type appearance to make the logo look official. However, we still wanted to have the feel of approachability and friendliness. Consequently, I went with a rounded, sans-serif, less corporate-looking type face.

Bellevue Church of Christ

The Bellevue Church of Christ is located in Bellevue, Washington. The site is built on the Textpattern content management system so people with no knowledge of html can easily make changes. Sections of the site include prayer requests, sermons download, calendar, and a members only section.
